Terms and conditions
As a user of this website, you are bound to the terms and conditions stated below.
- Parties
The parties to this agreement are as followed:
– 1.1. Intrepid Couriers Ltd/’the Courier’ where the context allows will include employees, agents and subcontractors
– 1.2 The user/‘the customer’ - Definitions
– 2.1 ‘Sub-Contractor’ refers to any person who the courier engages with, or makes use of to provide services as a whole or in part
– 2.2. ‘Dangerous Goods’ refers to goods included in the list of dangerous goods which is defined in the Classification Packaging and Labeling of Dangerous Substances Regulations (C.P.L. Regulations), and in The Radioactive Substances (Carriage by Road) (Great Britain) Regulations 1974)
– 2.3 ‘Theft attractive goods’ including but not pertaining to: money, cheques, phones, jewelry, precious stones and metals, spirits, tobacco
– 2.4 ‘Consignment’ refers to the delivery of goods sent from one address to another - Couriers Obligations
– 3.1 The Courier will endeavor to deliver the goods to the specified address in a timely manner
– 3.2 The Courier will not be liable for any delay in delivery caused by the unavailability of the recipient
– 3.3 The Courier will not be liable for any loss, damages or delays caused by: civil commotion, criminal or negligent acts of third parties, unforeseeable traffic conditions, insufficient delivery address - Customer’s Obligations
– 4.1 In regards to the goods, the customer is entitled to or has the authority to enter into this contact, bound to the terms and conditions
– 4.2 In the event of any claims by third parties against the courier, the customer is responsible for all and any legal costs incurred, except in the circumstances whereby the courier is liable
– 4.3 To provide any instructions to the courier to ensure an efficient delivery of goods
– 4.4 Make all payments in the designated time frame - Excluded Goods
– 5.1 If excluded goods are located by the courier, they are within their right to abandon said goods and notify the customer of the circumstances
– 5.2 The courier will not be liable for the safe-keeping of abandoned excluded goods
– 5.3 Excluded goods are as followed:
– 5.3.1 Explosive and flammable articles
– 5.3.2 Any parts of firearms, ammunition or detonators
– 5.3.3 Any articles that have been illegally imported or are prohibited
– 5.3.4 Any materials (written or pictures) deemed pornographic, obscene, blasphemous, defamatory or scandalous
– 5.3.5 Human, animals and plants, including: clinical and biological samples, clinical testing kits, human remains/ashes, live animals, flowers and plants
– 5.3.6 Livestock
– 5.3.7 Narcotics including stimulants, depressants and hallucinogens
– 5.3.8 Bladed items
– 5.3.9 Counterfeit goods - Indemnities
– 6.1 Should the customer breach clauses 3, 4 and 5, they will be responsible for any fines, penalties or legal costs incurred by the courier and any losses sustained
– 6.2 The customer must not provide the courier with any consignment containing infested, dangerous, verminous, contaminated or condemned goods
– 6.2 The customer will be liable for and will indemnify the courier for any losses, damages or claims arising from the consignment of any goods consisting of the articles highlighted above (6.2), including loss, damages or injuries sustained by the courier and any subcontractors - Third Parties
– 7.1 The courier is entitled to appoint sub-contractors under the Rights of Third Parties Act 1999 - Claims
– 8.1 Unless advised in writing within 21 days of delivery, or anticipated delivery, the courier will not be liable for any damaged goods or delays
– 8.2 Any damaged goods must be made aware to the courier for further inspection
